whenever i turn on my comp w/beta 2 is it supposed to have a picture or logo saying loading vista because mine just displays grey loading (animated) bars and says the copyright below it. is this how its spose'd to be

is the loading screen supposed to be blank
i have the same problem please help
It is possible to get a 'picture' for the loading screen. Its available right in Vista, its just toggled off.
Go to Start, in the text box type 'msconfig'
Switch to the boot tab
Check 'No GUI boot'
Click OK, Restart
In place of the animated loading bar, you'll get a Vista 'aurora' background and 'Starting Windows Vista' text at the bottom of the screen. No animations.

This is normal and expected behavoir. There is alot of "fit and finish" work still to be done including updating icons, boot screens and a whole host of other things.
